TAX AMNESTY PROGRAM SHOULD HAVE TEETH
This is the one in the state, not the one proposed for the City.

CINCINNATI MAY NOT BE THE CITY THAT SINGS AFTER ALL
The City was considering an idea by Councilwoman Laure Quinlivan that a new slogan be adopted, "The City that Sings". Inspired by the upcoming World Choir Games (in addition to being the home of 98 Degrees?), ironically it's those games that may prevent the city from using it:
The Cincinnati Organizing Committee of the games already has established a brand, logo, colors and fonts to be used to advertise the games. The brand guidelines do allow for a short slogan, but one’s already been chosen: “Share Song. Create Magic.”

FORMER UK QUARTERBACK JOINS FUTURE UK QB IN EATING CONTEST
This looks like it was a fun event. Fort Thomas Matters hosted Jared Lorenzen and Patrick Towles against two other guys in a pizza eating contest:
The challenge: Each two-man team had to consume one 24-inch pizza in 10 minutes. It was easier said than done – neither team was able to finish their pizza in the allotted time.

  1. I don't know how I "feel" about Beshear's reason to cut the education budget by $50 million, but I do know how I "feel" about Ky. educational system. It's terrible. Of course, I don't want to see my teacher friends with classes the size of a small town, but Beshear has tried to save education from severe cuts until now. Perhaps we should divide that $50 million by how many school systems we have in Kentucky to understand just how much each system is losing. I'll bet it isn't that much. Maybe one teacher or, better still, one sports program.

  2. The Ky. Republican Chamber of Commerce is going to offer executive leadership training?! Is that what we think principal's do? Oh, my God. I have a headache just thinking about it. Better still, lets require teachers to spend, at the very least, 10 years in the classroom before they can even think about becoming a principal. It's waaaaaaay too easy to take a few administration classes as "prep" for being an administer of education.l
