PLANS FOR MADISON THEATER EXPANSION TO BE PRESENTED TODAY
Though the proposed Walgreens near the Cathedral was pulled from the agenda, the Urban Design Review Board is expected to consider the plans for the expansion of the Madison Theater this afternoon. The live music venue is growing into the neighboring building that formerly housed Kings DJ & Lighting.

KY HOUSE TO PROPOSE BUDGET IN LINE WITH GOV. BESHEAR'S
The 2-year budget will have no new taxes:
House budget chairman Rick Rand, D-Bedford, told reporters Sunday that House leaders have not decided what, if any, substantial changes might be made in the governor's $19.5 billion budget. But he said Beshear's recommended cuts "probably in large" will stay in place. "It's going to be awfully hard to find money in this budget to restore many," he said.Herald-Leader/Jack Brammer

BILL WOULD ALLOW STUDENTS TO GO TO SCHOOL OUTSIDE DISTRICT
As long as the new district allows it:

NINTH DISTRICT ELEMENTARY SCORES $3,000 GRANT
Loveland, OH-based Xpedx is handing out $75,000 and some of that cash went to a Covington school:
Ninth District Elementary School is the recipient a $3,000 grant from a Loveland-based business. Xpedx, a business of International Paper, is presenting grants totaling $75,000 to more than 20 non-profit organizations and schools in the U.S. with funding through the International Paper Foundation. Of those funds, $20,000 will go to six Greater Cincinnati area organizations. Ninth District, the only recipient in Northern Kentucky, was awarded $3,000 to help finance its Earth Day Every Day Environmental Education Project.|

BOYS BASKETBALL REGIONAL PAIRINGS ARE SET
The 9th Region tournament is at the Bank of Kentucky Center, across campus from NKU's Regents Hall where the Holmes Bulldogs claimed their fifth straight 35th District title. Holmes (23-6) takes on Boone County (24-7) at 6:00PM Thursday.

Scott has to travel to Montgomery County since it was reassigned a few years ago to the 10th Region. The Eagles (15-14) take on Mason County Thursday at 7:30PM.
