NEW MIKE FINK WOULD BE A DIFFERENT VERSION
At Wednesday night's meeting of the Historic Licking Riverside Civic Association, Alan Bernstein discussed the future of the former floating restaurant:
The days of white-tablecloth restaurants that heavily spotlight lobster and filet mignon are over, and the restaurant likely will be smaller, said Bernstein. But if the family can relaunch a restaurant on the boat it will be a few steps above national upscale-casual chain restaurants, he promised.

KY TOURISM OFFICIAL RESIGNS IN WAKE OF ROADKILL BINGO FIASCO
What an embarrassing way to lose a job:

"Gosh P.R. has performed excellently for us in the past," Cooper said in a statement. "However, in the case of the Web site, they made serious errors. It was my responsibility to catch those errors. I did not and believe at this time that the best course of action is for me to resign."

NKU STARTS PROGRAM TO HELP STUDENTS, GRADS START BUSINESSES
The INKUBATOR:
The program is designed to function as a feeder to area accelerators such as the Brandery, CincyTech, bioLOGIC and UpTech and technology parks such as the Vora Technology Park.
“As an accelerator director, I am thrilled to see NKU making this significant contribution to our regional entrepreneur ecosystem,” Keith Schneider, managing director of Covington-based life science accelerator bioLOGIC, said in the release. “To build a sustainable entrepreneurial culture, we need to mentor our students and provide them with business skills, as part of their early career education. The INKUBATOR fills a significant gap in our regional ecosystem.”

"We can have the best of both worlds," explained Justin.
And by that, Ford means no maintenance or yard work. He and his wife get to enjoy the perks that come with living in a great location with around the clock help.
"Even if I lock myself out, or lock ourselves outside the building. We don't have to worry about taking care of grass or anything like that," said Justin.

REP. YARMUTH: WORDS MATTER BUT MONEY TALKS
The Louisville Democrat:
We can credit the scores of people protesting economic inequity as part of the Occupy Wall Street movement for the term “1 percent,” simple shorthand for the message that the wealth gaps in our country must be addressed.
And we can thank journalist Ari Berman for “the .0000063 percent,” a term that refers to the 196 people who donated almost 80 percent of the money raised by secretive outside groups during last year’s elections.

NOAH'S ARK THEME PARK STILL ON TRACK
Don't we already wait approximately forty days and forty nights in line at Kings Island's Beast
Zovath will not say how much they've raised or how much the still need. Because of the delays, there those of little faith in Grant County who are skeptical the ark will ever get built. But they are hoping, many of them praying it will happen. They estimate the project will bring in about $1.5 million a year for Grant County, Williamstown and the local schools. That plus the promise of 950 jobs and a million visitors a year here, has people pulling for the ark. "They had told me all along that they hoped to open in 2014. I think that may have slipped to the fall of 2014. Quite honestly, if they're going to make that date they're going to have to start bringing in some lumber pretty quickly."

WHAT IS GOING ON AT THE KFC YUM CENTER IN LOUISVILLE?
The Kentucky State Fair Board President fires the center's general manager even as the fair board chairman has called for the GM's reinstatement, and now UofL has hired the ousted manager... to run the NCAA tournament games coming to the KFC Yum Center?
“Ted’s dismissal from the fair board caused significant concern from the University of Louisville and the NCAA, as Ted had worked with the NCAA for the last two years to plan the upcoming men’s basketball tournament games at the KFC Yum! Center,” Carmicle said in the release. “I’m pleased that U of L has found a position for Ted that will allow him to continue that work and ensure the success of this enormous event.”

THE GREAT MYTH OF THE UK BASKETBALL PROGRAM
From Coach Cal:
On Monday, speaking on a teleconference with our league’s media, I told reporters I supported one of my kid’s decision to stay in school so long as he thought through his decision and had a good reason. Since then, it’s come to my understanding that people are now portraying this program as a one-and-done factory, that we allow players to come here for one year and then move them on to the NBA.
Big Blue Nation, that couldn’t be more wrong.
There is only one person slicker than John Calipari and that is Bill Clinton. And I love them both.

BITTER BOB KNIGHT CANNOT BRING HIMSELF TO SAY "KENTUCKY"
Or "Anthony Davis" for that matter:
Knight was on the Mike and Mike show today, and he was asked for his top teams in the country. He listed a few. None of them was Kentucky, which is odd considering Kentucky is No. 1 in both polls. Of the 96 available votes in the two polls combined, Kentucky received 94 this week. Kentucky is the leading candidate not just for a No. 1 seed, but for the No. 1 overall seed, and is the overwhelming favorite of Vegas oddsmakers to win the title.
But Knight won't concede that the Wildcats -- coached by John Calipari, whom Knight has verbally attacked in the past -- are in the top five.
