IN SPITE OF $28 MILLION PROFIT IN THIRD QUARTER, OMNICARE WILL STILL MOVE INTO GOVERNMENT-SUBSIDIZED OFFICE SPACE
Just weeks removed from the announcement that it would move from government-subsidized office space in Covington to government-subsidized office space in Cincinnati, Omnicare announced today a profit of $28 million in the third quarter. The Fortune 500 company that will be bailing on the RiverCenter tower, its home office since the late 1990s when Kentucky lured it here from Cincinnati with the promise of generous tax breaks, held a live webcast today to announce the windfall profit and to project 2011 total revenue at $6.1 billion. That's billion, with a B. And then, the whole room laughed at all of us.

Did you know that song was written in Louisville? Louisville did. Now there will be a part devoted to it. Does that mean it's time for Covington to create a park in honor of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" writer Haven Gillespie?
