DATA FROM COVINGTON MURDER VICTIM'S PACEMAKER TO BE USED AT TRIAL
One of the most gruesome murders in recent Covington history happened last fall on the Eastside where a man was killed and dismembered inside an apartment on Greenup Street. Three people are on trial for killing Donnell Brown, 56, whose pacemaker could provide clues into the time leading up to his death:
“Given that in this case we have a three-day window in which Mr. Brown was killed, and within those three days we don’t know exactly when that took place, we hope that this information will shed some light,” said Kenton Commonwealth’s Attorney Rob Sanders. “If it’s got a time stamp on it, or if it shows the date and time the heart stopped beating, that narrows down our window considerably.”Defendants:

NKY'S NEW CABLE COMPANY IS AMONG MOST HATED IN AMERICA
Time Warner qualifies as one of the 15 most hated companies in America, coming in at #6:
Although the cable provider improved marginally since 2011, slow internet speeds, cable outages, disastrous customer service and high rates continue to cause frustration among users. One customer vented, "TWC has destroyed my business and doesn't give a damn: I first complained five weeks ago about outages and miserable upload speeds. I need to send large files to clients. I've had two technicians visit, who both found it was in the neighborhood. Today, I found the situation has not changed and am told there's no further work order." Customers also complain about being stuck with Time Warner because there are no competing services in the area.Therein lies the rub. No competition. Also on the list: Delta Airlines, United Airlines, American Airlines, US Airways, Direct TV, and Facebook. See the full list at the link. Some historians say the segregation of public pools played a big role in deterring blacks from aquatic activities. A fear of the unknown, a fear of drowning, grew out of that. Still, black boys would dare to swim sometimes, but girls would hesitate, not wanting to ruin their hairdos, which can be difficult to maintain. A study by USA Swimming reported that nearly 70 percent of black children surveyed said they had inadequate swimming skills, if any at all. About 58 percent of Hispanic children had no or low swimming ability, and, for white children, the number was 42 percent. The study found that if parents can't swim, more than likely their children won't either.Herald-Leader/Merlene Davis | 70-YEAR OLD MAN TAKES 7,000TH RIDE ON COASTER AT KINGS ISLAND This senior citizen's preferred roller coaster is the Diamondback:

In the original choreography of Francis Scott Key, the lawyer and vivacious dancer who also penned "The Star-Spangled Banner," singers begin the second line of the song by holding a salute while marching in place. Then, when "Whose broad stripes" is sung, they jump into a slightly wider than shoulder-width stance, put a hand on their hip, and slowly point across the horizon, pantomiming Key's view the morning of Sept. 14, 1814, when he awoke to see the U.S. flag still waving over Fort McHenry after a British naval bombardment. "Surprisingly, we found very few people who knew that once the song gets to 'O'er the ramparts we watched,' you're supposed to face the person on your right, fold your arms, plant your right foot, and kick around in a clockwise three-quarter circle," said O'Neill, gracefully demonstrating the move in a traditional red, white, and blue national-anthem cape. "This sequence puts you in the right position for 'And the rockets' red glare'!"Read it all and have a good laugh: The Onion
