LAWYER, TALK SHOW HOST ERIC DETERS CALLS FOR REVOLUTION
Attorney Eric Deters's call for an armed revolution via Facebook pales in comparison to comments he made this morning on his radio show. Deters says the President is a Mulsim-leaning, Christian-hating traitor, that Eric Holder should be strung up, and that Michelle Obama is the black Marie Antoinette. Click the link.

LAWYERS STILL FIGHTING OVER MONEY FROM CATHOLIC SEX ABUSE
The lawyers who helped force the Diocese of Covington to pay up after decades of it allowing the sexual abuse of children are still fighting with each other:
Lawyer Barbara Bonar filed a civil lawsuit five years ago in Boone Circuit Court claiming Chesley acted unethically by forcing her out of the sex-abuse litigation with the Diocese of Covington and refusing to pay her for critical work that brought about the class-action settlement. The roughly $84 million settlement was distributed among about 200 people, with the amount each received determined by the severity of the abuse.
The case is now before the Kentucky Supreme Court.

MINISTER WANTS TRIAL DELAYED UNTIL AFTER THE WORLD ENDS
Ah, the crazy things that happen inside the Kenton County Courthouse:
An Internet-based minister who prophesizes the world will end on May 27 wants his trial on federal tax evasion charges delayed until after that date. Laywers for Ronald Weinland, 62, of Union filed a motion Thursday in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky asking that the trial, set for March 20, be delayed for at least 75 days.

MEANWHILE, FORMER GOVERNOR BRERETON JONES HAS COME OUT AGAINST BESHEAR'S BILL:
Although he has previously proposed a constitutional amendment, Jones has said that he cannot support gambling legislation that does not designate where the money would go.
"I have not changed," Jones told the Herald-Leader on Friday. "I'm not opposing casinos but what I am saying is we need to let the people decide. We should let people vote on where the casinos go and where the money goes and we're not letting them do that in this bill. This says let the legislature makes all the decisions."

THE HORSE INDUSTRY IS HAPPY THAT LOCAL CHAMBERS, LIKE THE NKY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, IS SUPPORTING THE BILL:
“We have a very simple goal—let the people decide how to handle this issue of casino gaming,” chamber president and chief executive officer David Adkisson said. “Year after year, the Kentucky chamber has polled business leaders across the state on this issue. And year after year, our members overwhelmingly support expanded gaming and the citizens’ right to vote. We believe it is time to finally put the issue on the ballot.

KENTUCKY AIR FORCE JACKET MAKERS WIN FIGHT AGAINST PRISONERS
If they had lost, the firm would have closed, as reported earlier today:
The federal government is ending any plans to give a contract for Air Force jackets to federal prisoners, a move that would have closed a Kentucky company and left 100 people out of work. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., received an e-mail Friday from the Federal Bureau of Prisons saying it was not going to seek the jacket work.
At the link you can see a photo of former President George W. Bush in his jacket, which was made in Kentucky. The chutzpah, however, is purely Texan.

DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI MAY GET A NEW KROGER
More salt in the wound for those of us who shop at the Madison Avenue Kroger, which is a complete disgrace:
City documents provided to the Enquirer reveal a plan for a mid-rise building for the consumer insights firm at Fifth and Race, and at Sixth and Race, residential units atop an above-ground parking garage. The two buildings would sit above underground parking and be connected by street-level retail. And one document shows a potential smaller-format test grocery store for Kroger.

COMMUNITY RALLIES AROUND STRUGGLING CORPORATION
LOL:
"Life has been pretty tough for me ever since my husband walked out, leaving me to raise three kids on a waitress' salary," Bester said. "But hearing about CEC MidCorp's financial troubles on CNN/fn really put my situation into perspective. I mean, there I was, obsessing over how I was going to find $300 to pay the rent, when there's a company out there that lost more in three months than I'll see in my entire lifetime. I knew I had to do something."
