COVINGTON TEEN COMMITS SUICIDE OVER BULLYING
A vigil will be held at 6PM tonight at St. Patrick's Catholic Church off Taylor Mill Road for 13-year old Sam Denham, a student at Woodland Middle School. Family members tell WCPO that the teen took his own life Friday evening. A first vigil was held Saturday night at the family's Covington home.

Carol says Denham had mentioned several examples of bullying during the previous school year, but failed to mention any problems from the current school year. Carol says she felt compelled to share her son's story in an effort to help prevent similar stories from happening.

SUSPECT FLEES COV PD, CRASHES INTO HOLMES SCHOOL
Earlier, I linked to this only having glanced it over and assumed incorrectly that the suspect crashed a car into the school and not that he ran into it on foot. Thanks to a reader for clearing that up. (You are my editors! And thank you.)

COVINGTON CARMAGEDDON UPDATE
An eagle-eye reader in Botany Hills writes to tell The River City News that traffic moved smoothly through Highway Avenue during the morning rush but that the stop light is now in place making the road (also known as KY-8) a one-lane two-way road. Could get sticky during evening rush.

DID YOU GET THIS STRANGE CALL FROM A POLLSTER?
It's going around the state, including Covington. It's a political move called a "push poll" in which questions are crafted in a leading manner so as to persuade the response desired by those who commissioned the poll. You have to listen to believe it.

POLICE CHIEF RUSSO TO HOST FORUM
I'd print the press release myself, but for some reason, I can't get the police department to treat me like a legitimate news source. Every other department in town does. So, here's a link to Brenna Kelly's copying of a press release instead.
