SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TONIGHT COULD BE A ROWDY ONE
The Covington School Board will meet tonight at 7:00 at the Board of Education and there are rumblings that a larger than average crowd could be in attendance. During the board's meeting earlier this month, questions were addressed involving the cost-per-pupil ratio which has been a constant target of the school district's critics. The debate was cut short and comments by board chair Mike Fitzgerald created a firestorm online. The River City News will have the meeting covered for you.

UK Fan Offers to Sell Wife for Final Four Tickets
I am a UK fan wanting to go to the Final Four in N'Oleans. I have put up my wife as collateral. She can make you speak 5 languages you never knew you could speak. I am not feeling my best so I have to use my sexy mama to get me to the game. She is completely game, is a litte picky, but if you make her howl at the moon while making her speak portugese or something I don't get out of her then by all means.....have at it and let me see my UK Wildcats!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it is bad to do this, but it the Kentucky faithful dammit. Look out for the Bluegrass State and hook this pimp up okay?

NEW COCKTAIL SCENE IN KENTUCKY PROFILED IN CHICAGO TRIBUNE
In Louisville, they still drink bourbon, but now it's all fancy:
Though plenty of bourbon was poured, it arrived mixed with brandy, rock candy syrup, lemon, egg white, red wine and an endless array of bitters.
Louisville remains enduringly loyal to bourbon, but it is embracing a more modern method of imbibing that involves concepts beyond neat and rocks. The growth of cocktails and beer is similar to what's afoot in larger cities, but it comes as a bit of a surprise in a place wedded to a certain way of doing things.
Who's thirsty now?
