A two-day celebration of old homes and all the work that goes into restoring them starts today in Bellevue. Expect to see many familiar Covington faces there too. The fun starts tonight at 6:00PM in conjunction with the monthly Shop Bellevue event on Fairfield Avenue. As you shop and dine on the newly thriving street you will meet contractors and product representatives. Then on Saturday, get your learn on as restoration professionals guide you through free special classes from 9:00AM to 1:00PM (lunch is provided at no charge) on topics ranging from historic wood window restoration, energy efficiency, paint colors, storm water management, funding historic rehab projects, picking the right contractors, roofing, doors, and HVAC for historic homes. There is a something for everyone as there will even be a place for children to go learn and create art all day. Classes are at Holy Trinity, 235 Division Street in Bellevue. (For more information, contact Beth Johnson at Covington City Hall at 859-292-2171)
