CHUCK EILERMAN TO RUN FOR COVINGTON COMMISSION

Chuck Eilerman, a commercial real estate agent who lives in Botany Hills, and can often be seen snapping beautiful photos of Covington, will file Monday to run for the City Commission. Here is the release:
Chuck Eilerman, a longtime civic activist, will file Monday, January 30, 2012for the Covington City Commission race. A resident of the Botany Hills neighborhood, Eilerman has an extensive background in community service, including leadership positions in historic preservation and renovation, economic development, education, arts, parks, and neighborhood, parish and business organizations. 
Eilerman is entering the race because he believes, “Our city is at a critical juncture, with exceptional challenges and opportunities ahead,” says Eilerman. “I intend to be an active participant in a collaborative leadership team implementing and building upon the planning framework being established by Mayor Chuck Scheper.”

Chuck Eilerman is a commercial realtor with the Huff Commercial Group, and has handled transactions involving numerous high-profile properties, including the former YMCA, the Suspension Bridge Tollhouse, Governor Stevenson’s home, Children, Inc headquarters, the Center for Great Neighborhoods, Dee Felice Café, Tickets Restaurant, LaRosa’s, the Mimosa House, and the Jesse Grant Home.

His previous professional experience includes management positions with the Kentucky Governor’s Office, Dept. of Finance and Administration, Development Cabinet, and Center for Energy Research. He worked with a Louisville consulting firm, carrying out assignments for private firms, local, State and Federal agencies focusing on community development, market analysis, and project feasibility.

Eilerman self-published a book titled Historic Covington and worked with Father Mertes on his first parish council at Mother of God Church. Born in Covington, Chuck Eilerman grew up in Fort Mitchell and has resided in Covington for 23 years. He attended St. Xavier High School, Thomas More College, and Harvard Business School.

  1. There is HOPE, yet, for our City! I'll wager that Chuck will not post how he'd like to "go Taliban" on the Occupiers. He is the best choice for the position. And he'll have plenty of help getting him elected! Yeah!!!
