ACCUSED KILLER: VICTIM WANTED TO DIE
The man accused of killing a woman in Urbana, Ohio and then disposing of parts of her body in South Covington says Jessica Rae Sacco asked to die:
He claims she told him that she wished she didn't have to die, but that she understood her actions. "She was pleading with me to slash her throat and slash her wrist...do something. And I told her... No.. I can't do that to you and she told me to stab her then. So I just held my hand above her stomach. She grabbed my wrist and pulled it into her stomach." Puccio also claims her last words were, "I still love you and I forgive you."

NEWPORT POLICE FIND KIDS, DRUGS IN HOTEL ROOM
The discovery was made in a Fort Wright hotel room, where nothing good ever happens:
Newport police took Haley into custody today, finding him in a Fort Wright motel room with his girlfriend, their two young children and other family members. They also found a large quantity of prescription pills and other drugs. "There were heroin needles in the room, pills scattered around the floor in the room."

Police believe he's the same man who robbed the Walgreens on Monmouth. "About a week ago we had a robbery at Walgreens where a male came into store, he had a toboggan on and he produced a note."

UNEMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS AT LOWEST LEVEL IN FOUR YEARS
Slowly but surely:
Overall, about 3.35 million people were getting jobless benefits during the week ended March 24, a decrease of 16,000 from the preceding week, the department said. The four-week moving average was 3.4 million, a decrease of 24,500.

STOP PANICKING OVER BULLIES?

An alternative viewpoint:
As the parent now of two school-age boys, I also worry that my own kids will have to deal with such ugly and destructive behavior. And I welcome the common-sense antibullying strategies relayed in "Stop Bullying": Talk to your friends, your parents and your teachers. Recognize that you're not the problem. Don't be a silent witness to bullying.
But is America really in the midst of a "bullying crisis," as so many now claim? I don't see it. I also suspect that our fears about the ubiquity of bullying are just the latest in a long line of well-intentioned yet hyperbolic alarms about how awful it is to be a kid today.

KENTUCKY FANS CONTINUE TO SHOW HOW CRAZY WE ALL ARE...
One UK fan is so committed to landing a top recruit for the Wildcats next year that he is offering up his wife in exchange for prospect Nerlens Noel:
Now, of course that had a lot to do with the fact that they were playing there, but I'm always just shocked at how dedicated Kentucky fans are. One man asked me if I wanted to take his wife home with me, ha ha. I couldn't believe it. I was like, "Nah, I'm good," but that's just how insane the fans were down there. Great atmosphere.

HOTTEST TRENDS IN URBAN HOUSING
Great read for urban enthusiasts in Covington:
Number one among reasons why this trend toward more city living and walkable suburban living is the "great convergence," as Laurie Volk calls it, of the two largest generations in American history. Together the Baby Boomers (born 1946-1964) and Millennials (born 1981-2000), account for more than 150 million Americans. Ben points out that a number that size is sufficiently large that even small portions within it can "have multiplier effects on housing supply and demand."
